COULD IT BE TRUE?

I guess fall is truly here when I taste my first sip of Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks! There is a SB about 2 blocks from my office and sometimes I have to really fight the urge to pop in there - At one time I was spending about $50 a month on SB and when we moved last year and things got so tight financially - I had to put a stop to that addiction and limit myself to once a week or maybe twice. Here is their new cup

I also bought a cool new tumbler with the brown backround and the lovely mermaid logo. I'm the only person I know that can go on a shopping spree in a Starbucks LOL

I have quite a few people signed up the for lace weight yarn I'm giving away on Labor Day. Thanks for your interest and comments on my last rambling post. Glad lots of you stuck with me even though you are not wool addicts or knitters. Still time to enter - I'm drawing on Labor Day.

Stitching progress - I picked up my Where the Hart Lives again and made great progress on it - I promise to show another WIP photo soon. I'm falling farther and farther behind on the Sail Away SAL - they're sailing away without me - humpf - my own fault - I just need to pick it up more often. I'm dying to start something new - I joined the plantation sampler SAL and have the chart and linen but I gave the DMC I bought to a friend since I decided I'd use silk - - oh oh oh - Sailors Wife - by Brenda Keyes - that is the one I really want start that I keep putting out of sight - but just not out of the mind - maybe I'll dig that out tonight. Anything to avoid that over 1 lettering on Sail Away.

I've been knitting a lot lately - I am doing very well on the VK hat - the green alpaca yarn in the last post. Hope to have it finished this month.

I was going to make this short - won't be posting till after Labor Day so I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and gets to take many happy stitches.

Oh-oh, now I'm going to have to get in the car and go to my Starbucks!! And, I don't need much encouragement to do that. Pumpkin Spice already?? Where has the summer gone? I got my yarn for the VK pink hat and I'm going to start it tomorrow morning. (also got red, teal, mint and lime yarn) All the beautiful women in my life will have fun hat!! HUGS and knit / stitch / hook to your hearts content!!

Enjoy your trip! Greg and I are looking forward to our trip there in November.

I've heard rave reviews about the pumpkin coffee. I don't drink coffee though.

Can't wait to see your wip pictures!

It can't be time for Pumpkin Spice!! I'm another Starbucks addict, but I really, really try to limit myself on the lattes. Too many calories even if I have them made with skim milk.

I'm battling start-itis too since I'm close to being caught up on an SAL with my sampler guild. So many of my WIPs have been patiently waiting, though.

Ah, another Starbucks addict! lol! I don't drink coffee, one of the few in the world I think. I'm looking forward to your progress pic of Where the Hart Lives. I love that piece! As for Sail Away, I'm on the part with the second bit of over one lettering, and I seem to be avoiding it. :D I hate over one lettering, especially on 40ct. Oh well. I'm going to get it soon I hope! Hope you do too.

Well, I guess tomorrow I'll be at my Starbucks :-)) and YOU KNOW how I shop there! Unfortunately, for me, it's only Fall IN Starbucks. Still way too hot here. But the A/C is cranked up and I'm knitting away. Here's to a great weekend!

I can't believe that three other non-coffee drinkers left a comment. Make me #4...lol. Now diet Coke ~ that's my addiction!
Let's see some pics of all your WIP. You are amazing all the things you have going on at the same time.
Pug hugs :)

If I'd known there was Pumpkin Spice Latte's already I'd have stopped and gotten one today. I needed a pick-me-up.

I need to stitch some this week. Maybe I can get an hour in tomorrow. Maybe we can get together next week to stitch?

That's the sure sign of autumn... a pumpkin spice latte. I've never had one but it sounds good!

Have a great trip!

Aren't thoses Pumpkin Spice Latte's the greatest! And my son was just pointing them out to me the other day (actually he was hinting for himself because I let him get a decaf). They are the best!

Sounds like you have so many wonderful projects that are in your stash pile. I joined the Plantation Sampler SAL too, but obviously haven't gotten to it so you and I are in same boat! Maybe we should do our own SAL! LOL

Did you start Sailor's Wife? I love her designs and would love to watch your progress on it!

And the over one lettering on Sail Away truly isn't bad at all so you should jump on the boat with everyone else. It's a gorgeous piece.

And doesn't fall make you want to knit again and pull out wool? I've been getting the itch too - cooler weather always makes me want to do that.

Can't wait to see your cap and Where the Heart Live pics!!!

One of things I anticipate the most is the arrival of pumpkin lattes. Yum...but they can eat into the budget in no time, that's for sure.

I hope you don't give up on Sail Away. I feel the same as you about those dreaded over-one letters, but somehow while working on it a little today, I was making great progress! You can do it! Just think, if you stick with it, you can be done in a couple of weeks, and you can enjoy my scissor case I'm sending out.
Have a great trip!
